Leading Houston Airport System’s capital programme

We have been commissioned by the City of Houston to lead delivery of the Houston Airport System’s (HAS) IAH Terminal Redevelopment Programme (ITRP).

The programme will be carried out over the next eight years at Houston’s largest commercial airport, George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).

We will serve as an extension of the HAS executive team, with primary responsibility for the successful completion of a series of projects, each of them related to the redevelopment of international terminal facilities and other capital programmes within the Houston Airport System.

Our remit in Houston will see us provide HAS with an end-to-end executive programme management function, leading the design, procurement, execution and control of the programme.

“We are honoured to be playing a lead role in delivering the future of Houston’s airport network,” said Tina Millan, Vice-President and US head of aviation. “HAS’ ambitious plans will ensure this global city continues to have the world-class air transport hubs it needs and deserves.”

“Houston is building a solid reputation as a global gateway city and because of this enhanced standing, the ITRP programme may very well be the most significant expansion project ever undertaken by the Houston Airport System,” said Houston Aviation Director Mario C. Diaz.

“The airport is our community’s front door to the world and Turner & Townsend will help us construct a welcome that’s worthy of Houston and its citizens.”

“Turner & Townsend works with many of the world’s leading airport authorities, and we will deploy our international aviation expertise to meet the demands of the HAS programme,” Millan added. “This company has a strong connection to Houston. Our Houston office was the first to open in the US and it remains our largest base in the Americas. We are ready, able and proud to help shape this great city’s aviation legacy.”
