Delivering accredited NEC training in the UK

We are working in partnership with Thomas Telford to deliver world-class accredited NEC (new engineering contract) training to client teams and the supply chain.

In the first agreement of its kind, we are working in partnership with Thomas Telford, the knowledge business of the Institution of Civil Engineers, to deliver world-class accredited NEC (new engineering contract) training to client teams and the supply chain.

The training will give project managers real skills and tools to help them deliver their projects. On successful completion, trainees will receive a unique accreditation as an NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) Project Manager along with entry onto the Register for Accredited NEC Professionals, held by the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Already the contract of choice for the infrastructure and public sectors in the UK, the NEC3 suite is endorsed by governments and industry worldwide with an unrivalled track record for delivering projects on time and within budget.

Gregg Barton, Director said: “We are delighted to be able to offer this accredited training, which fits perfectly with our expertise in the area. We manage over £20bn major programmes, frameworks and projects that use NEC contracts, and have been recognised by Constructing Excellence with an award in the Value and Innovation category for our approach to NEC3 Risk Based Contract Administration.

As the only accredited supplier we look forward to working with Thomas Telford to upskill both client teams and the supply chain, and are committed to supporting Thomas Telford in shaping the future forms of the NEC contact.”

Rekha Thawarani, General Manager, NEC said: “NEC is delighted to partner with Turner & Townsend in the roll out of our gold standard NEC3 Project Manager Accreditation programme. The accreditation gives project managers added skills and tools to execute their role as ECC project managers and help to deliver a strong portfolio of successful projects.”
