Appointed to Anglian Water COCE framework

We have been appointed to provide commercial outperformance and construction economics services for the next five years to Anglian Water, the largest water company by geographic area in England and Wales.

Anglian Water, which supplies water and water recycling services to more than six million domestic and business customers, covers the sector’s largest region in England and Wales – stretching from Humber north of Grimsby to the Thames estuary and then from Buckinghamshire to Lowestoft on the east coast.

Together with two other companies, AECOM and Mott MacDonald, we will be responsible for providing a collaborative all-inclusive framework of commercial services over both capital and operational programmes. The full spectrum ranges from contract administration, procurement, risk and cost management, to benchmarking, supply chain and market analysis.

Turner & Townsend, which has worked with Anglian Water for more than 15 years, will provide support around the changing regulatory environment, helping Anglian and its partners meet efficiency targets through driving commercial improvement whilst maintaining a clear focus on the customer.

Patricia Moore, Director of Turner & Townsend, said: “We’re delighted to continue supporting Anglian’s goal to be the best water company in the UK. We’ve been helping the company embrace innovation in the face of increased regulation and efficiency constraints over a number of years.

“Anglian’s focus and approach to delivering progressive improvement and efficiency, which delivers even greater value for its customers, is at the forefront of industry practice.

It’s great to work with such a dynamic and progressive organisation and we look forward to setting a new industry exemplar model, working in collaboration with Anglian and its supply chain.”

Andrew Page, Head of Contract Management of Anglian Water, added: “Turner & Townsend has a deep and relevant knowledge of our industry and has experience of working alongside us for more than three regulatory cycles.

“They have a clear understanding of our business goals and desired outcomes, key people and they bring an integrated, aligned and collaborative approach to delivering outperformance against our business plan.”
