Improving the use of London’s public space

The impact of major infrastructure developments across London is having a profound impact on the real estate market.

We are currently seeing a raft of investment particularly centred towards over-station developments across London. The plans for these developments are focused on improving the productivity of London public space through the creation of commercial development opportunities.

Yet with live tube lines below, restricted site access and sites located within heavy pedestrian area, OSDs are inherently challenging. We will take a look at the intricacies of developing and delivering OSD projects.

Our panel will:

  • Provide an overview of the concepts behind OSD
  • Present case studies of how it has already been applied across London
  • Discuss the challenges and opportunities it presents to the City of London.

Speakers include: Sue McElroy (Turner & Townsend), Ian Lindsay (Crossrail Land & Property), Angus Campbell (Foster & Partners), Vinny Patel (Ramboll), Jamie Chapman (Ashurst).
