In 2015–2016, we broadened the opportunities for our people to learn and develop, and took further steps to increase diversity.


Our goal is to ensure Turner & Townsend is a great place to work, where all our people are safe, engaged and inspired to succeed.

Our decision to become a partnership gives our employees a clear path to becoming an owner in the business. It will help incentivise talent and encourage people to build their career in the company. Integrity in industry

We continued our focus on raising standards across the industry this year.

In volatile markets, we helped our clients and partners to adapt and respond to key challenges. Our ambition is to be recognised as the best in our field, delighting our clients with the great outcomes we achieve, and delivering consistently high standards wherever we operate. 

We monitor our effectiveness by obtaining regular feedback on core client care criteria, including performance, innovation and value for money. Our client satisfaction average for 2015–2016 was maintained at 8/10.

Environmental stewardship

Our aim is to create a better built environment for future generations.

We have made good progress this year supporting clients with sustainable solutions and improving how we manage our own environmental impacts.

We focus on improving carbon emissions and waste management across our global business. To support these goals, good environmental management is built into our standard operating procedures and 32 of our offices are certified to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standard.

Beyond this, we strive to support our clients with more sustainable outcomes and to advance industry best practice. We use our insights in programme and asset management to deliver improved asset efficiency, programme performance and whole life value.

Community value

Over the past year we have strengthened our definition of how we generate community value.

We continued to encourage our people to have a positive impact through their work, volunteer days and fundraising. Our primary focus is creating opportunities for children and young people to achieve their potential.

We are deeply committed to education and want to give children and young people the inspiration and encouragement they need to develop valuable skills. Beyond this, we will support employability by helping young people gain knowledge and experience to establish successful careers.
