Quantity Surveying

Why did you join Turner & Townsend?

The business offered me a fantastic opportunity to study and work on multimillion international projects at the same time so it was an offer I couldn’t refuse.

What’s the culture like at Turner & Townsend?

Turner & Townsend has a great culture, it’s a hardworking, sociable and a large emphasis on team work.

How are you finding the apprenticeship scheme?

I’m loving it, I’ve been here almost two years and haven’t regretted joining once, I think working at Turner & Townsend on the apprentice scheme has been the making of me as a person.

What does the programme offer you?

The programme offers me a huge opportunity to study debt free, gain a degree and work on some very prestigious projects. When I graduate at 23, I’d have almost 6 years invaluable experience working for a globally recognised consultancy.

What training and development opportunities are available to you?

Turner & Townsend have a lot of training to help the apprentices learn as much as we can, for example we have CPD sessions every Wednesday and Quarterly training events. There’s also formal development such as the module A training.

How are apprentices viewed in the company?

I’ve been given a lot of responsibility and that makes me feel like a key asset to the business and an important part of what we do.

What project have you worked on?

I had the great opportunity to work on an interchange rail project made up of 74 stations in Saudi Arabia, that was a fantastic project and I learnt a lot regarding quantification and estimating.

This week I…

Am working very closely with my line manager to submit part of our monthly commercial report to the UK Head of Capital Projects for a global bank.
