Which apprenticeship course and level have you completed?

Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Project Management

Why did you join Turner & Townsend?

To start my career with a great company and be part of one of the major consultancies in the construction industry.

What do you like about working at Turner & Townsend?

I like being excited to come to work, every day I learn something new however big or small.

What opportunities do you think your apprenticeship has given you that you wouldn't have been given otherwise?

I have already worked with a number of interesting clients in various sectors, I wouldn't have had these experiences and opportunities if I had taken a different route.

What project are you working on/what projects have you worked on?

I have worked on a couple of major highways schemes with a local council, improving transport in and out of the city centre. I am currently working within the rail sector, assisting with a station improvement programme across the north west.

A typical day for me is...

Challenging but exciting. It is usually filled with client meetings, site visits and YPF commitments.

What has been our greatest achievement while working at Turner & Townsend?

Managing my own work packages, it has been very rewarding seeing the project progress and having such a big responsibility so early on in my career. It has given me a great amount of experience and confidence going forward.

What has been your biggest learning experience?

Making good and useful connections. It is so important to get out and network both internally and externally, understanding this has helped me progress further.

What advice would you give a prospective apprentice?

Take every opportunity, be enthusiastic and work hard!
