Accessibility

Turner & Townsend recognises the importance of providing a website that is accessible to everyone and easy to use. On this page we outline our commitment to making our online services accessible and explain the accessibility features of this site.

Standards compliance

Our pages conform to a minimum Level 1 (A) compliance as specified by the Web Content Accessibility guidelines. Where possible the majority of Level 2 (AA) and 3 (AAA) requirements will also be met.

Increasing the text size

We have used style sheets throughout, and users can increase or decrease the size of the text by using the browser 'Text Size' options in the 'View' menu.

Images

All content images on this site are provided with descriptive ALT attributes.

Access keys

Access keys are keyboard shortcuts that provide quick links to common website features, without the need to use a mouse.

To navigate with access keys:

Windows

Hold down the 'Alt' key and the access key, followed by the 'Enter' key.

Macintosh

Hold down the 'Ctrl' key and the access key.

Please note: Access keys are only supported by Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 and above and Netscape 6 and above.

Navigation

All pages contain a link to the home page, sitemap and search box.

A skip navigation option is available on the majority of pages to users of screen readers and text-only browsers. Skip navigation enables the user to jump straight to the content area of a page, bypassing the top and side navigation.

The navigation system has been constructed in a consistent fashion to provide clear navigation pathways throughout the site.
