Project of the Year, Woman of the year.
Following our success at Building Awards in 2014 we were delighted to pick up a double win in 2015. Project of the Year was scooped by PwC’s refurbished HQ One Embankment Place, while Kate Corrigan, Director, took the Building Magazine Woman of the Year award, a new category for 2015.
One Embankment Place, project managed by Director David Corry was recognised by Building for having achieved the highest sustainability ratings for a commercial office building in the UK, with a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating and achieving a score of 96.31 percent, the highest score to date. The project was completed on time and within budget and achieved the high quality, environmental and sustainability standards set by PwC.
Kate Corrigan was awarded for her work as a role model in the industry and for demonstrating her role as a mentor and leader to future generations at a corporate, project and industry level. Kate is an inspiration to any woman looking for a career in construction and has displayed the drive and determination to ensure the UK infrastructure sector is seen as a world class industry; delivering great outcomes, every time, everywhere.
Building Awards is the industry’s longest running and most prestigious recognition of excellence. The 21 awards given out on April 22nd 2015 showcase the best in all areas of construction, from individual projects to training and outstanding individuals.
