Supporting female talent at every level

Our South Africa team has delivered an equal proportion of men and women through an employee life-cycle approach to gender equality.

This approach leverages varied techniques for attracting, nurturing and promoting female talent at every career stage. It starts with engagement programmes in schools and universities and continues with consistent and proactive support for equal opportunities for women as they progress up the career ladder.

Tasmiyah Chothia is a quantity surveyor who benefited from our internship programme and a bursary while she was studying at university. Today she works in the real estate team in South Africa.

The practical experience I gained on the internship programme really enhanced my studies, revealing opportunities that exist in the construction industry, while the bursary was vital support for my third and final year of university.

“This business works very hard to empower people in their work, no matter what their gender or cultural background. Exposure to new experiences and projects is always on offer. I wouldn’t change anything about the journey I’ve had here and really recognise the ongoing support of my professional development.”
