Turner & Townsend has been active in China since 1996 and has offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Tianjin.
We have delivered projects in over 30 locations across China, including Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Chengdu, Leshan, Changchun and Huludao.
We help clients to deliver inward investment projects as varied as microelectronics and electrical goods manufacturing plants, new head office complexes, refurbishments and rationalisation, warehousing and hi-tech business parks, power generation and energy infrastructure, a German consulate, an International Heart Hospital and a 1,000 acre campus at Ningbo for a British university.
The breadth and depth of this experience has given us an appreciation of the complexities of investment and development in China, and an equally invaluable database of construction industry information across the country.
Some of our recent commissions include construction and supply chain studies for a market leading semiconductor company. This involved a detailed assessment of how the semiconductor industry engages with specialist contractors and service providers. We have also been involved in establishing procurement initiatives for nationwide programmes through central procurement to take advantage of the buying gains that major projects and programmes can bring. We have developed extensive regional expertise through our retail programme management commissions which means we have built up a very clear understanding of regional differences in project approvals from government.
