Our History
Building on solid foundations
Turner & Townsend was established in 1946 as a Quantity
Surveying
practice based in the North East of England.
In the sixty years since then we have grown into one of
the largest
independent consultancies in our field, and since the year
2000 in
particular we have taken a series of quantum steps into the
forefront of our industry:
- Expanding our expertise in cost management, project
management and a growing spectrum of management consultancy
services;
- Leading the way in the development of new thinking
and new methods of delivery;
- Extending our expertise
into new sectors;
- Winning awards and new clients; and
- Establishing a
global infrastructure of offices, people, resources
and expertise.
We are a forward thinking and progressive company, but
our history highlights the importance of those traditional
values of integrity, commitment, responsibility and service
on which our success has been built, and it provides us
with a rock solid foundation for our continuing development
in the future.
