Sustainability encompasses environmental, social, and economic considerations across all aspects of an organisation’s operations and asset base; of which the built environment is a significant component.
Our clients rely on us to provide policy support and technical advice on all aspects of sustainability in the built environment. This includes the development of asset management strategy and its impact upon business operations including the wider environment, all stages of project and programme delivery and driving continuous improvement through sustainable operations, assets and facilities management.
Our consultancy services are clustered in four areas:
Financial viability and economics - Financial Viability, technical and commercial advice focused upon whole life performance, operating cost analysis, component and life cycle planning. Support with low impact and zero carbon systems, financial assessments and return on investment option studies, carbon management plans and commercial appraisals.
Strategy & policy – Policy and technical advice for Development, Sustainability and Carbon Management Strategies, establishing sustainable procurement strategies, “Green Guide” use of materials, creating responsible specifications, incorporating energy and renewable technologies. Waste reduction and efficiency management.
Environmental performance - Verification, benchmarking and testing of designs, new build and existing facilities using BREEAM, LEED and CODE. Provision of Energy Performance Certificates, Departmental Energy Certificates and setting in place operational contracts to deliver Sustainable Facilities Management. Ongoing management and review of strategy and policy implementation.
Legislative compliance – Consultancy advice with Governance and CSR, consultancy advice in connection with current and emerging environmental legislation, and Environmental Management Systems, including ISO14001, to support legislative compliance and delivery of strategy and policy.
