Mersey Care - mental health inpatient units
The Trust proposes through a LIFT scheme to transform the quality of in-patient mental health service and learning disability services across North Merseyside.
This will be achieved by establishing a network of five resource centres across the Mersey Care catchment population. They will be located in the heart of the communities they are to serve.
Turner & Townsend contribution
Turner & Townsend was appointed in July 2005 as Project Managers for the preparation of the Outline Business Case (OBC) stage of the project. The project was stopped in 2005 and recommenced in 2007. The OBC was approved by the Trust Board in May 2008 and was submitted for approval to the local Primary Care Trusts and North West Strategic Health Authority (SHA).
Turner & Townsend has also worked on the development of the procurement route which included programme management, development of the Public Sector Comparator (PSC) and Output Based Specifications (OBS).
Making the difference
Turner & Townsend led the development of the estates annex for the OBC and managed the Design Review Process (DRP) on behalf of the Trust. Turner & Townsend’s input resulted in a successful DRP 1 assessment.
