Appointed to implement a PMO for Brisbane Airport Corporation

Brisbane Airport Corporation has selected Turner & Townsend to implement a best-in-class project management office (PMO) for its planned capacity enhancement programme. Over the next five years Brisbane Airport will be undergoing a challenging period of development to meet increasing passenger demand.

Brisbane Airport Corporation’s aim is to improve assurance and reporting whilst ensuring the certainty of project outcomes. Turner & Townsend has been commissioned to provide the full range of PMO services within an integrated team, including setting up a programme office, operating it and transferring capability to Brisbane Airport Corporation. The PMO will use scheduling to drive costs, risks and interface management over a business as usual $300m per annum capital spend.

Specific benefits to this approach for Brisbane Airport Corporation include executive level visibility of issues requiring management action, identification and management of key project milestones and third party interfaces, annual delivery targets being met and reporting capability supported by  Turner & Townsend’s integration tool resulting in fast, better quality reporting.
