Risk Management Service Provider of the Year

Turner & Townsend has been awarded the prestigious 'Risk Management Service Provider of the Year' award at the 2011 Risk Management Awards.

The shortlist included a range of recognisable names in the risk management field, as well as a number of specialist providers, and it is the first time Turner & Townsend has been honoured with top prize at the awards. The awards committee said "The Risk Management Service Provider of the Year award is particularly prestigious as it recognises those service providers who deliver real creative thinking and innovation. As many providers promote their services as best in class, this confirms which of them are seen as living up to their promises"

The accolade comes as a result of the successful work that Turner & Townsend have been doing with the Highways Agency, where the project team lead by Associate Director Gary Healey have been consistently delivering value. Paul Wynen, Associate Director in Turner & Townsend's risk and opportunity management practice, collected the award on behalf of the team. Paul said, "getting a kiss from Ruby Wax has to be the highlight, but it was great to win given the high calibre of the competition."

Daniel Granger, global head of risk and opportunity management at Turner & Townsend added "This award is great recognition of the work that we have been doing to help the Highways Agency transform their approach to the delivery of major projects. In the current economic climate the Highways Agency, like many organisations, are under increasing pressure to demonstrate efficiency improvements.
